TJ Jeffrey
Math Teacher, Grade 10
T-Herbert (TJ) Jeffrey holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Washington University in St. Louis, where he won multiple scholarships, led the Black Students Union, the Education Project, and the campus philosophy journal. Through arguably the nation's most prestigious undergraduate fellowship (Mellon Mays), TJ conducted research on suspicion of young Black men. Having himself overcome the transition from traditional K-12 (Normandy District) to prestigious college, TJ volunteered through WashU to advise over 400 high school students at Vashon (SLPS) on post-secondary opportunities and financial aid.
