Make a Difference in St. Louis

At Kairos, we believe now is the opportune moment (the “kairos”) to reimagine public education. Gone are the days of one-size-fits all teaching, learning, and leading. Kairos is building a new generation of independent thinkers and self-governing citizens by investing in personalized growth and attention at every level–from our students to teachers to staff. Our schools have been recognized by Forbes, Bellwether Education, NBC Today, Education Week, and others for innovation in personalized education.

For Kairos teachers, personal growth looks like real-time access to student performance, weekly instructional coaching, and access to our Instructional Leadership Academy. Kairos teachers are liberated from planning and standards alignment and empowered to internalize curriculum, predict student responses, and adapt to students’ unique needs. Certified Kairos teachers start at $50,000 annually–among the top 10% in St. Louis.

For every Kairos team member, personal growth looks like weekly one-on-one mentoring, access to professional development through our Kairos Leadership Institute, and best-in-class social-emotional practices that foster trusting relationships and a healthy life-work balance. Kairos team members are empowered to be their authentic selves and show off their ingenuity and creativity as they experiment to best serve our students and families. All Kairos team members enjoy competitive benefits including: health, dental, disability, and workers comp; pension plan; seven days of PTO; nine weeks of paid parental leave (60% of salary); and an annual wellness reimbursement of up to $300.

“My Instructional Director challenged me to fine-tune my teaching presence and provided support when I needed it most. I felt like I could breathe at work, even during life’s more taxing moments, because of the positive and supportive environment."
