Nilesh Patel graduated from Washington University-St. Louis, where he studied global health and biology, and from the Relay Graduate School of Education, where he earned a Master’s in the Art of Teaching. As a Grade Level Chair at the Noble Network of Charter Schools—Chicago’s top-ranked public school network—Nilesh coached colleagues to build a culture of joy and support. He has also served as Saturday School Principal at Noble, managing a team that used data to identify student needs and provide personalized support. Nilesh previously served as Kairos' Middle School Science Department Chair.
At Kairos, we believe now is the opportune moment to rethink public education. That's why we replace lectures with engaging projects and dictatorial "behavior managers" with 1-1 executive functioning coaches who help students learn how to manage their own schedule and work habits. Kairos students practice navigating real-world choices (such as when, where, how, and with whom to work) within a safe, supportive school environment. Kairos develops students not just into freethinkers, ready to thrive in a modern economy, but self-governing citizens, ready to lead both themselves and their communities.
