Julia Larimar graduated with a B.A. in American Studies from Yale University , where she served as a Peer Liaison in the Afro-American Cultural. She’s since taught low-income students in New Haven, CT and Tulsa, OK and worked to support them through Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America, Teach For America, and George Kaiser Foundation (PK-8 Strategy). Most recently, Julia worked at the Tennessee Justice Center, helping families access to health and legal services. Growing up in violent poverty, Julia knows firsthand how a school can serve as an oasis of safety for children.
